Along the highway, we could already see the Mount rainier. Since this trip was spontaneous, we didn't do research on the best spot to view the mountain. Hence, we tried to go to the Point Defiance Park and hoped of finding a good spot to have picnic. Unfortunately, the parking lot was so full and we could hardly find a parking spot after driving 2 laps in the Park.
So, we changed our mind to go somewhere else. By chance, we saw a majestic view of Mount Rainier by a lakeside called Ruston Point, where people were riding surreys along the pathway. We rented a surrey too! Riding along the seaside and viewing Mount Rainer at the same time. The surrey rental fees was about usd35 per hour, depends to the type of surrey.
We rode for 40 minutes and walked along the seaside to continue viewing the mountain. Well, if there was chance, I hope we could have an even closer look at the beautiful Mount Rainier in future.
